SUMMARY:I_HeERO demo tour
DESCRIPTION: \nI_HeERO demo tour crossing 5 European countries to highlight benefits of eCall for HGVs \nAn I_HeERO promotional tour will take place between mid-September and end of October 2017 involving several European countries. The tour will highlight the road safety benefits of eCall for HGVs (Hazardous Goods Vehicles) as a tool to save lives in accidents and benefits rescue teams on the ground by providing information on load (especially if dangerous goods are involved). It will promote the use of digitalised transport documents like e-CMR not only for their benefits in terms of road transport efficiency but also for their added value for road safety. \nDuring the said period\, a rigid frame truck equipped with an in-vehicle system(s) (IVS) will tour Europe and stop in five countries: Czech Republic\, Greece\, Italy\, the Netherlands and Slovenia. \neCall will be activated to stimulate a collision: a minimum set of data (MSD) will be sent by the IVS to a 112 PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point) and/or PSAP simulator and will be completed with further information on truckload thanks to the use of the e-CMR solution. \nA first demonstration was performed at the ITS European Congress in Strasbourg 20 to 22 June 2017. \nThe demo tour targets the road transport industry\, European and national decision makers (MEPs\, Transport Ministries\, countries which have not yet ratified the e-CMR protocol)\, PSAP operators and rescue services; European\, national and specialised media\, and other relevant stakeholders. \nRead more about eCall for HGVs\, and buses and coaches I_HeERO eCall for HGV and buses and coaches \nAbout eCall for HGVs and buses and coaches leaflet I_HeERO HGV eCall leaflet \n

DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe 6th eCall TESTFEST event\, organised by ERTICO-ITS Europe and ETSI\, will be held from 9 to 13th October 2017 in Kranj\, Slovenia. This event will be hosted by SINTESIO in cooperation with Iskratel\, Public Administration and Telekom Slovenije. \nThe eCall TESTFEST event enables vendors to run interoperability test sessions using test descriptions provided in approved guidelines. The event will bring more value with the debriefing sessions where experts can answer technical questions or solve interoperability issues. Additionally\, compliance and performance checking sessions will be scheduled to complement the interoperability. \nInteroperability and eCall service harmonisation are critical challenges to be taken into account for the successful deployment and operation of the eCall service. This will be the last of the series of TESTFEST on eCall. \nThe TESTFEST is open to all new In Vehicle System (IVS) and Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP) vendors willing to test their equipment but as number of seats is limited\, the registration is on a first-come-first-served basis. SUMMARY:eCall Workshop
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nThe eCall workshop event\, organised by ERTICO-ITS Europe on Wednesday 11th October  in Kranj\, Slovenia.\nThe workshop builds up on the eCall TESTFEST event\, held aims at presenting the status of  the eCall deployment including the situation with the type approval\, the conformity assessment and eCall over Satellite Communication. The workshop is an opportunity for stakeholders from the safety and transport sectors\, as well as for students\, to understand the principles of eCall from the technological and deployment point of view. eCall and testing experts  will also present how interoperability ids handled as well as the role of the TESTFEST event.
